What Is Home Healthcare?

Home health care involves sending nurses and therapists into the patient’s own home and works as the eyes and ears of the patient’s physician – communicating regularly with the physician on the progress the patient is making.

Nurses can help patients and caregivers with understanding a new diagnosis, resolving wounds, pain management, chronic conditions such as diabetes and CHF and much much more.

Therapists help patients with their activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, etc), ambulation, acquiring durable medical equipment (such as walkers), and teaching on the importance of safe transfers.
